The lighter side of you
I know and understand
The laughing eyes-that smile
The tender touch of hand
But the painful moment comes
Drawn to the dim-lit candles of your eyes
A shiver rushes over me
As I see your dark side rise
The smoothness of your voice
Is reduced to senseless muttering
The eloquent walk is now a stagger
Your eyelids are fluttering
When you hurt yourself like that
I am hurting too
Why must you do this to us?
Why must you make me Blue?
When the dark triumphs for awhile
It kills the one that I adore
When you crawl into a bottle
I don't know you anymore
