Gibbon's four volumes of poetry reflect his journey from a young man caught up in the youthful '60s to an older man coming to peace with himself, his family, and the lives he's touched and been touched by.

"Many of my poems deal with positive themes, but you will soon discover negative themes as well; war, infidelity, alcoholism, and abuse. It's important to write about pain, the survival of the human spirit, because life is a constant mixture of SUN AND RAIN, of LIGHT AND DARK.

"When I returned from the Viet Nam War, I felt I could never go home again. I lived on the beaches of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where I did odd jobs as I tried to put the pieces of my life back together. Fortunately for me, most of those pieces are back."
